Keys to the Crimson Tide’s victory over the Ole Miss Rebels

Just a little over six minutes into the SEC Opener match, the Crimson Tide already had three touchdowns off four possessions, gained 226 yards, on but a single turnover.  This set the tone for the rest of the game as Alabama dominated Mississippi in their own Oxford stadium, 62-7.

To be fair, Ole Miss was the clear underdog against the country’s top-ranked Crimson Tides.  Just 11 seconds into the game, the Rebels showed that it was seemingly unfazed, managing to set up a beautiful play involving Jordan Ta’amu passing to D.K. Metcalf for a huge touchdown.

But Alabama hasn’t conceded to any unranked team for eight years now, having gone undefeated against any such team 76 times now.  Historically speaking, the quick lead wasn’t meant to last.  And true enough, the Crimson Tide retaliated with a three-play drive that got the score tied in the very next possession.  Then Alabama’s Damien Harris ran 43-yards for a touchdown for a seven-point lead, and the Rebels would not be able to even come close again.

The hero being praised by Alabama coach Nick Saban is its own Hawaiian standout Tua Tagovailoa, who racked up 191 yards on 11 passes before being subbed for Jalen Hurts.  The fiery coach suggested after the match that he would start with Tagovailoa for the team’s next match.  Anyhow, the pain continued for the Rebels, which surrendered two more touchdowns.  By halftime, the Tides were already way ahead, 49-7.

It was a classic beatdown: in the end, Alabama had gained 516 yards and Ole Miss had a measly 248.  And any hype—and hope—from Ole miss fans leading into the game were all but forgotten as early as the end of the third.

Develop These Key Skills To Make It Big In The Business World

The business world isn’t exactly the most welcoming. It’s always changing, and that means entrepreneurs and business leaders are always on their toes trying to adapt. Instead of just reacting to the innovations that take place in the business world, a successful businessman should pioneer these developments and shape the industry.

Critical thinking is a skill that’s too often taken for granted by many aspiring businessmen and businesswomen. Questioning every assumption, claim, and viewpoint proves that one is a critical thinker. This skill is integral in making smart decisions, by which a company’s success would stand.

Being effective should be on every entrepreneur’s list of skills to acquire. It’s developed by repeatedly walking the talk even with the littlest things. An effective leader can spearhead movements that could have the potential to become the newest innovation in the business world. By simply practicing what is preached, the entrepreneur is already making a mark in the industry.

Staying on the path can be quite a job especially to those who are not disciplined. Determination, focus, and discipline are needed in order to be consistent in the business world. As the saying goes, “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.”

Competitiveness puts an entrepreneur in a position to dismiss anything less than the best. Having a competitor is both a challenge and an opportunity. While the business world might be brutal for its competitive nature, it helps develop grit. Successful entrepreneurs are always determined to reach the top.

The Two Plays That Changed The Course Of The Finals

Looking back at the 2017-2018 NBA Finals, it’s easy to see how the Golden State Warriors dominated the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, it wasn’t all lopsided, especially in games one and three. Those two games could have just as easily gone to the Cavs if these two plays didn’t happen. Below are the plays that changed the course of the 2017-2018 NBA Finals.

J.R. Smith runs out the clock

With 4 seconds left, J.R. Smith grabs the offensive rebound off a missed free throw by George Hill. Smith was in the thick of things and could’ve gone for a second chance shot from point-blank range. Instead, he dribbled it out, past the three-point arc. Lebron James screamed and screamed, but it was too late. The clock had run out, and they just missed an opportunity to either score or at the very least, call a timeout.

2. Kevin Durant with another dagger

Game three had been a tightly-contested battle until the final minute of the game. With a minute left, the Warriors were only up by three, and it was a one-possession game. In the next 10 seconds that followed, Durant hit a spot-up three from way deep, extending the lead to six and effectively taking away the wind from the Cavs’ sails. It was the exact same spot where he hit the dagger three from last year’s game three, breaking hearts all over Cleveland for the second year in a row.

The 'Kardiac Kids': Pure excitement

At the start of the 1980s, the Cleveland Browns were led by a group of scrappy, determined football players known as the “Kardiac Kids.” They were given that nickname because of their tendency to snatch victories from the jaws of defeat during very tightly-contested games.

During the 1980 season, the Browns figured in several contests that were won in the final minutes. It was also the most successful season the Browns have been in for almost a decade. For the past eight years, the team had not made it into the playoffs.

One of the more memorable games of the Kardiac Kids was against the Cincinnati Bengals, who led by 10-0 after the first half. The Browns would end up winning a humdinger of a game, and the Central title, by a razor-thin margin, 27-24. It was the Don Cockroft-kick with less than one-and-a-half minutes remaining that sealed it for the Browns.

However, the celebrations would come to a heartbreaking and abrupt halt when the Kardiac Kids came up against the mighty Oakland Raiders in a match dubbed as the Red Right 88 Game. With only a few seconds remaining, the Browns were down 14-12. What looked like a perfect pass from Brian Sipe to the waiting Ozzie Newsome, was intercepted, ending all hopes of a championship.

Cleveland Rival Report: A Look At Boston

The playoffs are just around the corner and the Eastern Conference has gotten as competitive as it’s ever been. Judging from the regular season, the defending Eastern Conference Champions, the Cleveland Cavaliers, have to contend with the depth of the Toronto Raptors and the never-say-die young stallions of the Boston Celtics.

Let’s take a closer look at the Boston Celtics’ chances.

Before the season started, the Celtics acquired Kyrie Irving in a move that sent a lot of the team’s core to the Cavs. The move paid off as the C’s let go of Isaiah Thomas, who was nursing an injury and got one of the top point guards in the league in Irving. The C’s also had Gordon Hayward and Al Horford to support Irving.

However, the season couldn’t have gotten off to a worse start as Hayward sustained a season-ending injury in the first game.

But that didn’t stop Brad Stevens, the genius coach (who should probably win Coach of the Year), from coming up with several backup plans. But how do they match up against the giants of the Eastern Conference come playoffs?

Irving was be looking to be back to lead the squad, but was notified that he will be out for the season. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, alongside the likes of Marcus Smart, Terry Rozier, and Marcus Morris will have come into their own this season and turned a hobbling Celtics into the most impressive team of the season. It’s just a matter of sustaining the momentum into the post-season.
